RPEA in the News: Standing Up for Retiree Health Care
The Retired Public Employees Association (RPEA) continues to be a strong voice for New York’s nearly 500,000 state and local government retirees.
On August 2, the New York Daily News published a Letter to the Editor from RPEA Executive Director Tom Tatun opposing efforts to force retirees out of traditional Medicare and into restrictive Medicare Advantage plans. On August 8, Tom joined The Capitol Pressroom to discuss RPEA’s advocacy priorities, including protecting health care benefits, preserving pensions, and advancing legislation that honors promises made to public service retirees.
