RPEA Hosts Virtual Town Hall

On Wednesday, June 12, RPEA hosted our second Virtual Town Hall via Zoom. Nearly 200 members attended and several topics were discussed, including the end of the legislative session and the many benefits available through RPEA.

There were several speakers, including RPEA President Diana Hinchcliff, RPEA Lobbyist Katie Hohman, and RPEA Member Benefits Administrator Candy Marrero.

Additional topics covered included:

• The Health Equity for Retirees Act (S.8388-A, Harckham / A.7866-A, Zebrowski)
• Benefits of RPEA membership, including dental, hearing, and vision care
• Skilled Nursing Facilities Care
• RPEA’s COLA bill, which has been amended and includes a “catch-up” provision
• Single-Payer legislation
