Retired Public Employees Association Voices Support for New York City Public Retirees

The Retired Public Employees Association (RPEA) stands with NYC Retirees for healthcare choice.

Nearly 50% of Medicare enrollees are in a Medicare Advantage Plan. The overwhelming majority of those enrollees made a voluntary decision regarding that choice. RPEA opposes all efforts that force retirees to move from traditional Medicare to a Medicare Advantage Plan. If forced into a Medicare Advantage Plan, retirees could face coverage denials, out-of-pocket costs and lose their current providers, if they are not in Aetna’s Medicare Advantage network. Retired Public City Workers deserve to keep their doctors and current healthcare coverage.
