RPEA Executive Director Ed Farrell appeared on New York Now on June 4, interviewed by Legislative Correspondents Association Reporter Dan Clark. The interview ran on PBS stations across upstate, in New York City, and on Long Island.

Farrell discussed RPEA’s concerns with the NY Health Act, including the need to ensure public service retirees’ earned benefits are protected and not diminished as a result of legislature’s attempt to provide benefits to a small percentage of the population that is currently without adequate coverage.

RPEA also sent a memo of opposition to the senate and assembly health committees outlining issues that need to be addressed in order to protect state and local government retirees’ earned benefits.
